Recently we were working with a client on a brand new website, and they asked us “What is an ‘About’ page supposed to be for, anyway?” The quick answer is that it’s a page that provides info about you or your company. But how can you take your “About” page from okay to great? We did some research and here is what we recommend!
Tell what your page is about. What is its purpose? What do you provide your viewers?
Tell your users about yourself. Who are you? Why should they work with you?
Show yourself. Add photos or a video so they can see who you are.
Share your story. How did you get where you are today?
Share links to your favorite or popular content, photos, or posts.
Add contact details including phone number, email, and links to your social media accounts.
Call to action! Ask them to contact you, follow you, or subscribe.
Make it fun! Add fun facts, articles about you, awards, testimonials and photos.
